Materials Inspection & Testing, Inc. (MIT, INC.) is an Indiana corporation established in 1976.  MIT is an independent testing and engineering firm specializing in subsurface soil exploration, foundation soil engineering, on-site quality control, inspection and testing, and laboratory analysis of construction materials.  Our services are conducted in central and northern Indiana, northwest Ohio, and southern Michigan.

In the area of geo-technical engineering, MIT provides subsurface soil investigations, professional engineering analysis of soil conditions, foundation engineering and complete site evaluation.  All phases are under the supervision of registered engineers.

Trained and certified laboratory technicians in modern facilities perform on-site quality control inspections and laboratory testing of construction materials.  Testing is performed per latest ASTM and/or applicable specifications.
